Fernando Alonso and Fernando Margarit Among Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers in 2016

Partners Fernando C. Alonso and Fernando Margarit of Hunton & Williams LLP’s Miami office have been listed among Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers in 2016. The lawyers were selected from international law firms conducting legal business in Latin America by Latinvex.

Fernando C. Alonso, chairman of Hunton & Williams LLP’s Latin American practice group, was once again selected for his work in the categories of Corporate/M&A, as well as Banking and Finance. Over the years, Fernando’s practice has focused on corporate M&A securities, finance and infrastructure development. His clients include a broad range of publicly owned and privately held US and foreign companies and financial institutions. Fernando has led numerous significant acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, and other business transactions including those with cross-border complexities. He regularly represents foreign clients in connection with US acquisitions, as well as domestic companies in connection with their international expansion.

Fernando Margarit was recognized in the category of Banking and Finance. A member of the firm’s Latin America practice group, Fernando has represented clients on domestic and cross-border financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects and other corporate transactions for over 20 years.
