Hunton Advises Evergy Metro, Inc. on $23.4M Tax-Exempt Bond Remarketing
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Evergy Metro, Inc. (“Evergy Metro”), formerly Kansas City Power & Light Company, in connection with the remarketing of $23.4 million aggregate principal amount of State Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority of the State Missouri Environmental Improvement Revenue Bonds (Kansas City Power & Light Company Project) Series 2008, which were previously issued for the benefit of Evergy Metro.
Evergy Metro is an integrated, regulated electric utility that provides electricity to customers in the state of Missouri and Kansas. As of December 31, 2024, Evergy Metro served approximately 586,500 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. Customers include approximately 519,700 residences, 65,000 commercial firms, and 1,800 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities. Evergy Metro is a wholly owned direct subsidiary of Evergy, Inc.
