Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Evergy Metro, Inc. (“Evergy Metro”), formerly Kansas City Power & Light Company, in connection with the remarketing of $23.4 million aggregate principal amount of State Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority of the State of Missouri Environmental Improvement Revenue Bonds (Kansas City Power & Light Company Project) Series 2008, which were previously issued for the benefit of Evergy Metro.

Evergy Metro is an integrated, regulated electric utility, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, that engages in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. As of December 31, 2021, Evergy Metro served approximately 571,500 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. Customers include approximately 505,000 residences, 64,600 commercial firms, and 1,900 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities. Evergy Metro is a wholly-owned direct subsidiary of Evergy, Inc.
