Hunton Advises on Southern Power Company’s $1.1B Senior Notes Offerings

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the underwriters in connection with SEC-registered offerings by Southern Power Company of (i) $550 million aggregate principal amount of its Series 2025A 4.25% Senior Notes due October 1, 2030 and (ii) $550 million aggregate principal amount of its Series 2025B 4.90% Senior Notes due October 1, 2035.

Southern Power Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Southern Company and an operating public utility. Southern Power Company and its subsidiaries develop, construct, acquire, own and manage power generation assets, including renewable energy projects, and sell electricity at market-based rates in the wholesale market.
