Hunton Andrews Kurth advises Kansas City Power & Light Company on $23,400,000 tax-exempt remarketing

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCP&L) in connection with the remarketing of $23.4 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2008 State Environmental Improvement and Energy Resources Authority of the State of Missouri Environmental Improvement Revenue Bonds (Kansas City Power & Light Company Project), which were previously issued for the benefit of KCP&L.

KCP&L is an integrated, regulated electric utility, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, that engages in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. As of December 31, 2017, KCP&L served approximately 542,500 customers located in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. KCP&L’s customers included approximately 479,300 residences, 61,200 commercial firms, and 2,000 industrials, municipalities and other electric utilities as of December 31, 2017. KCP&L is a wholly owned subsidiary of Evergy, Inc.
