Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises the Purchasers on Upper Michigan Energy Resources Corporation Private Placement of $160 Million Senior Notes

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the purchasers in connection with Upper Michigan Energy Resources Corporation’s (UMERC) issuance of $160 million aggregate principal amount of its 3.26% Senior Notes due August 28, 2029 in a private placement under Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.

UMERC is a regulated, stand-alone electric and natural gas utility serving approximately 42,000 customers in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. UMERC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, Inc.
