Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP Represents Duke Energy Indiana, LLC in its $500 Million Issuance of First Mortgage Bonds

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Duke Energy Indiana, LLC (the “Company”) on an SEC-registered offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of First Mortgage Bonds, Series YYY, 3.25%, due October 1, 2049.

The Company, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation, generates, transmits, distributes and sells electricity in portions of Indiana. The Company’s service area covers approximately 23,000 square miles and supplies electric service to approximately 840,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. As of December 31, 2018, the Company’s asset portfolio included approximately 6,606 megawatts of owned generation capacity, 31,200 miles of distribution lines and 5,286 miles of transmission lines.
