Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of four corporate lawyers to counsel. The firm proudly recognizes these talented individuals for their accomplishments and outstanding client service.
Charles L. Brewer (Corporate, Richmond) represents clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other strategic transactions. He also advises public companies on corporate governance policies and practices and related securities law issues. Brewer received his undergraduate degree from University of Virginia and his law degree from William & Mary Law School, summa cum laude.
Mark W. Connolly (Corporate, Richmond) focuses his practice on fund formation, alternative investment transactions and regulatory compliance for investment advisers. He represents clients in a broad range of alternative investment transactions, including private fund formations, private equity, joint ventures, acquisitions, divestitures, and related matters. Connolly received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his law degree from William & Mary Law School.
Brendan P. Harney (Corporate, New York) assists clients with public and private securities offerings, with a concentration in the energy and utility industries. His experience includes SEC registered debt offerings, utility first mortgage bond offerings, common stock offerings, establishment of “at-the-market” equity programs, preferred and hybrid securities offerings, liability management transactions, 4(a)(2) private placements, ESG (environmental, social and governance) offerings, including the establishment of ESG frameworks, and dedicated utility rate securitization transactions. Harney received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, State University of New York, cum laude, and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
Eric Mogel (Corporate, New York) focuses his practice on structured finance, with an emphasis on mortgage securitization and resecuritization transactions. Eric represents issuers, underwriters, lenders and mortgage servicers in structured finance transactions and has experience in regulation of investment funds and general corporate transactions. Mogel received his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan and his law degree from George Washington University Law School, with honors.
