Hunton Represents Duke Energy Indiana in its $500M Issuance of First Mortgage Bonds
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised Duke Energy Indiana, LLC on an SEC-registered offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of its First Mortgage Bonds, Series DDDD, 4.95%, due March 15, 2036.
Duke Energy Indiana, an Indiana limited liability company and an indirect majority-owned subsidiary of Duke Energy Corporation, is a regulated public utility primarily engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, and sale of electricity in portions of Indiana. Its service area covers approximately 23,000 square miles and supplies electric service to approximately 930,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers. As of December 31, 2025, the Duke Energy Indiana’s asset portfolio included approximately 6,806 megawatts of owned generation capacity, 5,300 miles of transmission lines, and 32,000 miles of distribution lines.
