Hunton Represents KKR-Led Consortium in $13B Acquisition of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres
Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP’s Bangkok office represented global investment firm KKR and Asia’s leading communications technology group, Singtel, as Thai counsel in their acquisition of an 82% stake in ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, a leading data centre colocation services provider, for $13 billion combined enterprise value. The transaction marks one of the largest digital infrastructure transactions in Southeast Asia.
STT GDC is one of the world’s fastest-growing and most diversified data centre platforms with 2.3GW of design capacity across 12 major markets in the Asia-Pacific, United Kingdom, and Europe.
The Hunton team was led by corporate partner Stephen Bennett, counsel Tanagorn Thimasarn and associates Thanyaporn Achariyawong and Wichaya Apiratkasem. The team also included local partner Somruetai Noppornprom, counsel Richard Savage, and associate Supajit Koosittiphon.
