Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP represented Pioneer Transmission, LLC (“Pioneer”) in connection with its inaugural capital markets offering of $102,300,000 3.36% Senior Notes due October 1, 2049 in a private placement under Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
Pioneer is a joint venture formed by Duke Energy Corporation (“Duke Energy”) and American Electric Power Company, Inc. (“AEP”) to build and operate approximately 290 miles of 765-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines and related facilities in Indiana. The project links Duke Energy's Greentown Station (near Kokomo, Indiana) with AEP's Rockport Station (east of Evansville, Indiana).
