Hunton & Williams Advises on Appalachian Power Company $50 million Tax-Exempt Remarketing

Hunton & Williams LLP acted as counsel to SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, Inc., as remarketing agent, for the remarketing of $50,275,000 aggregate principal amount of West Virginia Economic Development Authority Solid Waste Disposal Facilities Revenue Refunding Bonds (Appalachian Power Company – Mountaineer Project), Series 2008B.

Appalachian Power is a subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc., a public utility holding company. Appalachian Power is engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power to more than 1 million customers in the southwestern portion of Virginia and southern West Virginia, and in supplying and marketing electric power at wholesale to other electric utility companies, municipalities and other market participants.
