Hunton & Williams Advises on Florida Power & Light Company $700 million First Mortgage Bonds Offering

Hunton & Williams LLP advised the underwriters on an SEC-registered offering by Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) of $700 million aggregate principal amount of first mortgage bonds due 2047. 

Florida Power & Light Company is the third-largest electric utility in the United States, serving approximately 5 million customer accounts across nearly half of the state of Florida and is one of the largest rate-regulated electric utilities in the United States. It is a leading Florida employer with approximately 8,900 employees. FPL is a subsidiary of Juno Beach, Florida-based NextEra Energy, Inc (NEE).
