CPPA to Hold Board Meeting on DROP Requirements, CPPA Data Broker Registration and Proposed CCPA Regulations
Time 1 Minute Read

The California Privacy Protection Agency (“CPPA”) will hold a board meeting on September 26, 2025, at 9:00 am PT. The public is invited to attend the meeting in person or virtually. The agenda for the meeting includes (1) the CPPA’s annual enforcement update and priorities; (2) discussion and possible action on proposed implementing regulations for the Delete Request and Opt-Out Platform (“DROP”) under the California Delete Act; (3) discussion and possible action to adjust the CPPA’s data broker registration and access fees; and (4) an update and possible action on proposed California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) regulations regarding automated decisionmaking technology, risk assessments, cybersecurity audits, insurance and updates to existing regulations. The agenda also includes a legislative update.

Importantly, the agenda indicates there may be a possible modification of text to the proposed CCPA regulations, which, as previously reported, already have been submitted to California’s Office of Administrative Law for review.

Information on how to attend the meeting can be found on the CPPA’s website.
